What we do.

Past Presented will research and analyse your family history for you. In order to commence research on your behalf we will ask you to provide us with all of the family history presently known, along with copies of any relevant records in your possession. These records may include birth, marriage, or death certificates. This will ensure an accurate starting point and avoid any duplication or repetition of what may already be known from family sources. However, if you do not have any information about earlier generations of your family, it is possible to begin research from your own birth certificate - all that is needed is a name and an indication of date and place.

The information you provide will also enable Past Presented to tailor a research proposal specific to your unique requirements. Alternatively you may wish to take advantage of one of our family history research packages. Clients also have the option of commissioning customised research on an hourly rate should an alternative to the package options be required.

Past Presented will undertake specialist record lookups at New Zealand record repositories including public libraries and Archives New Zealand. Some examples of accessible records are birth, marriage, death indexes; electoral rolls; city directories; burial records; passenger lists; New Zealand directories; and some military records.

Past Presented can help you to trace and analyse complex family history connections. Personal guidance and tuition on tracing and writing your own family history can also be offered on a private basis. Clients are welcome to make an appointment to discuss their research requirements or to obtain assistance overcoming their research problems by filling in the enquiry form.
